The whole second half of the story was flat for me. Aya finds the perfect story when she meets the Sly Girls, a clique pulling crazy tricks in utter obscurity. Aya is sweet and I think and many people can relate with her, as she wants to be famous and be noticed for once.
Aya originally wanted to use the Sly Girls as an anchor to bring her miserable face rank up, but turned out to save the world in the end. She is well known for being a city hoverball champion, as well has a tech-head, and is always seen floating around in her hoverball rig.

Aya is absolutely confused – why wouldn’t you want to be famous The two Cutters seen are Shay and Fausto. But that doesn’t make up for the overall clicheness and cringiness of the love story that existed.

Works by Scott Westerfeld. She has no idea why she wants to become popular and when she becomes a prominent “kicker” she begins grumbling and whining. This novel doesn’t center around Tally, the protagonist of the previous three books, but around a new character, Aya Fuse, who’s growing up in a post-Pretties world.
Tally’s inclusion in the book as a peripheral character is an interesting difference from the past three books two I’ve read. Not a Scott Westerfeld ending, at least. View all 3 comments. Also, um, Wesherfeld sorry but stealing metal internationally doesn’t seem like something that everyone would just forget about and be like, “oh no worries!

Her character is not put to justice in this book. David is an ugly, and has never had any surgery at all. Aya Fuse is just fifteen-years-old but already, the world has radically changed since Tally Youngblood freed everyone. And she does “truth-slant” a lot. Uglies Pretties Specials Extras After three whole books of what was more or less trial and error, you’ve produced an engaging plot in a style that doesn’t read like wrsterfeld piece of GCSE coursework!
But freedom doesn’t come without its chaos, and the cities must find a new way to regulate resources. In his New York Times book reviewJames Hynes described Extras as being “just as thrilling as its predecessors, but it’s also a thoughtful novel of ideas, a brilliant parody of the modern obsession with fame”.
She seemed harsher and more violent seen from a third-person’s viewpoint than when we’re inside her head and see her struggles to rewire herself.
After they have left, Aya says that she is going as well. In short, I loved this one.
What a strange world. Like the other books in the series, ectras one moves fast. Extras is the fourth book in Scott Westerfeld’s critically acclaimed, New York Times bestselling series originally it was a trilogy.
