The man who saves her is Lord Peter Wimsey, who has been trying to get her to marry him for the past five years. This is definitely not a stock “Whodunnit”. Gradually, as dorothyy incidents occur, Harriet is able to start eliminating suspects based on cast-iron alibis, but it is a slow and laborious process.
